A novel communication network is being implemented on the machines composing the Système de Contrôle Distribué (SCD) that form the real-time architecture of the Tokamak à Configuration Variable (TCV), exploiting the capabilities of the Data Distribution Service (DDS) middleware. This work presents a new DataSource for the MARTe2 framework that integrates the eProsima Fast DDS implementation. Its design is discussed, providing tools to configure the behavior of the DDS middleware, and its validation is performed by benchmarks on the SCD nodes hardware. The advantages of this work are twofold. First, the intention is to expand the capabilities of the SCD, which originally relies on a reflective memory that, although deterministic, requires specialized hardware and offers limited bandwidth and scalability. Secondly, integration of the DDS into the SCD enables more diagnostics to work in real time, expanding the experimental capabilities of the TCV device.
