Abstract

We here propose a novel technique for realizing the multiplication of the pulse repetition rate with a flexibly tunable multiplication factor, based on dynamic Brillouin grating (DBG) reflectors implemented in highly birefringent fibers.

Optical fiber

An optical fiber, or optical fibre in Commonwealth English, is a flexible, transparent fiber made by drawing glass (silica) or plastic to a diameter slightly thicker than that of a human hair. Single-mode optical fiber
