Dual-Emission Band All-Fiber Laser based on Theta Cavity with Thulium- and Holmium-Doped Fibers

Abstract

We present first dual-wavelength all-fiber laser, based on isolator-free theta cavity with two fiber Bragg mirrors and thulium- and holmium-doped fibers. Laser provides 350mW total power with 8% slope efficiency, and linewidth less than 01.mm.

Laser

A laser is a device that emits light through a process of optical amplification based on the stimulated emission of electromagnetic radiation. The word laser is an anacronym that originated as an acronym for light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation.
