Abstract

The paper deals with the oscillator applications based on vibrating mode of the suspended gate SG-MOSFET transistor. In order to simulate the electrical behavior of the transistor a small-signal equivalent circuit of the gate is proposed and validated. An adapted 16MHz oscillator topology originated from Pierce scheme is demonstrated.

Transistor

A transistor is a semiconductor device used to amplify or switch electrical signals and power. It is one of the basic building blocks of modern electronics. It outputs a 1 if any of these inputs are 1, or outputs a 0 only if all inputs are 0. The inputs and outputs are binary digits ("bits") which have two possible logical states.
