Hyperkahler Floer Theory As Infinite Dimensional Hamiltonian System

Résumé

We reformulate the equation characterizing the critical points of the hypersymplectic action functional as solutions of a Hamiltonian system on the iterated loop space. The intent is to gain more insight into dynamics of hyperkahler Floer theory.

Mécanique hamiltonienne

La mécanique hamiltonienne est une reformulation de la mécanique newtonienne. Son formalisme a facilité l'élaboration théorique de la mécanique quantique. Elle a été formulée par William Rowan Hamilton en 1833 à partir des équations de Lagrange, qui reformulaient déjà la mécanique classique en 1788. Hamiltonian system

A Hamiltonian system is a dynamical system governed by Hamilton's equations. In physics, this dynamical system describes the evolution of a physical system such as a planetary system or an electron in an electromagnetic field. These systems can be studied in both Hamiltonian mechanics and dynamical systems theory. Informally, a Hamiltonian system is a mathematical formalism developed by Hamilton to describe the evolution equations of a physical system.
