Transformation de Fourier

En mathématiques, plus précisément en analyse, la transformation de Fourier est une extension, pour les fonctions non périodiques, du développement en série de Fourier des fonctions périodiques. La transformation de Fourier associe à toute fonction intégrable définie sur R et à valeurs réelles ou complexes, une autre fonction sur R appelée transformée de Fourier dont la variable indépendante peut s'interpréter en physique comme la fréquence ou la pulsation.

Fonction porte

La fonction porte, généralement notée Π, est la fonction indicatrice de l'intervalle réel [–1/2, 1/2], c'est-à-dire la fonction mathématique par laquelle un nombre réel a une nulle, sauf s'il est compris entre –1/2 et 1/2, auquel cas son image vaut 1. Son graphe a une forme similaire à celle d'une porte, d'où son nom. Spectral leakage

The Fourier transform of a function of time, s(t), is a complex-valued function of frequency, S(f), often referred to as a frequency spectrum. Any linear time-invariant operation on s(t) produces a new spectrum of the form H(f)•S(f), which changes the relative magnitudes and/or angles (phase) of the non-zero values of S(f). Any other type of operation creates new frequency components that may be referred to as spectral leakage in the broadest sense. Sampling, for instance, produces leakage, which we call aliases of the original spectral component.
